KENDRIYA VIDYALYA, VEHICLE FACTORY, JABALPUR

The Vidyalaya was established in Aug '83 and is located in Sector-II. V. F. Estate. Jabalpur. The Vidyalaya has also been selected as a model Kendriya Vidyalaya in purview of the scheme of model Kendriya Vidyalaya which lays emphasis on Computer Education to the children and develops the Vidyalaya as a learning resource center. The Vidyalaya has a strength of about 1400 plus students having classes from I to XII. We have a staff of 50 plus experienced, devoted and dedicated members including teaching, non-teaching and group "D" employees for smooth conduction of various activities.

Kendriya Vidyalaya VFJ, Jabalpur is run by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangthan, an Autonomous Body formed by Ministry of Education (HRD) Govt. of India, New Delhi. The Vidyalaya Having Classes From Pre-Primary to XII With Science, Humanities & Commerce Stream at Plus two (+2) Level. The School is proud to have a Profoundly Learned and highly Experienced Principal with Well Qualified Teachers. The School has huge Two Storied building with well furnished classrooms , well equipped junior & Senior Science laboratories, big developed playground, children park beautiful school garden. Beside Providing excellent means for strengthening both primary & Secondary education, the students are provided with ample opportunities to take part in cultural, sports, drawing & painting competitions and Bharat Scouts & Guides Activities right from the school level to National Level. The School Extends the Facilities for Computer Educations. The School aims at all around development of children's personalities and inculcates in them the feeling of patriotism, National Integration & Universal brotherhood and thus makes them better citizens in the country. Its a matter of Pride that the Vidyalaya has teacher and students honored by the President of India.

The genesis of Kendriya Vidyalya, Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur(KV VFJ):

Kendriya Vidyalaya Vehicle Factory Jabalpur (KV,VFJ) was established in 1983 under the able guidance of the founder Principal Sh. N.P. Mishra. Today, KV, VFJ has carved a niche for itself and has a crowning glory to its functioning. KV, VFJ celebrated Silver Jubilee in 2008. KV,VFJ is the only school in entire Jabalpur Region to have a full-fledged BioTech Lab and is privileged to have vocational courses like Biology, Computer Science and Informatics Practices to its credit besides BioTechonology.

Ø Important milestones of growth:

a) 1983-School started functioning.
b) The land was given by Vehicle Factory.
c) 1987- New building inaugurated
d) 1989- First batch of Higher Secondary Student ( Class X) presented for AISSE Examination.
e) 1991- First batch of Higher Secondary Student ( Class XII) presented for AISSCE Examination.

Ø Gradual Year wise expansion

a) 1983 - KV VFJ started functioning with classes I to V
b) 1989 – First batch of class X appears for board exam..

INFRASTRUCTURAL FACILITIES

CLASS ROOMS

The Vidyalaya is having 34 well furnished class rooms with necessary electrical fittings and provision for various technology aided learning items.

COMPUTER LABS :There are 3 computer labs in the Vidyalaya for different groups of students:

1. Primary Section (Classes I- V) with 30 computers,

2. Secondary Section ( Classes VI-X), with 20 computers, and

3. Senior Secondary (Classes XI & XII) with 25 computers.

The students use the lab with internet facility (Broad Band) for log-in and log-out in to the think.com website and do projects and interact with students and teachers. Computer Science & Informatics Practices are taught as Elective subjects for Science students at +2 level. The Lab for these students is equipped with all software required for their studies.

PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY, BIOLOGY & BIOTECHLABS : KV VFJ boasts of well maintained science labs namely the Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Biotech. These are fully equipped with every kind of modern apparatus required for the AISSE & AISSCE Practical Examinations as prescribed by the Central Board Secondary Education. The labs are also well stocked with models charts and other specimen required for the proper understanding of the science subjects.
